Katherine’s residential and commerical designs have been described as sophisticated and approachable. She finds the balance between form and function based on her clients’ personalities, interests, and space. When sitting in a room that Katherine designed it is both easy and engaging.
Katherine started her interior design career in 2006. She discovered her passion after completing a Bachelors of Fine Arts. As a ceramicist, Katherine observed that the experience of her pieces was heavily influenced by its cohesiveness with the room it was displayed in. She found that lighting, color, space, accents, and furniture brought out the beauty in her work, and in return, her work brought out the beauty of a room. Katherine decided to pursue her passion and earned a Master of Arts in Interior Design from San Francisco State University.
As a San Francisco native, Katherine identifies closely with the city where she was raised but loves to pull elements from her travels to Asia and experiences living in both Italy and Belgium. Katherine is as experienced in sourcing one-of-a-kind pieces for her designs as she is in creating a unique look from popular stores such as Room & Board, Restoration Hardware, and HD Buttercup.
Currently Katherine accepts projects that range from one-room redesigns to full-scale remodels. Check out the services page to learn more. Katherine also loves contributing as an e-designer with Tastemaker, a Y-Combinator e-design startup based in San Francisco.
